For the film "The Matrix" Digital Firepower created a large Matte painting of a destroyed futuristic city. The painting was a huge file that needed to be kept in over sixty layers at film resolution. "We began the painting in Photoshop but soon realized we needed to move over to Satori due to it’s size and the problems we knew we would encounter with such a dark image if we stayed in the 8 bit Photoshop world...Since then, many of our paintings are being created with Satori to preserve colour depth and stay flexible with huge images."      Charles Darby, Matte Effects Supervisor for Digital Firepower
