Subject: Having uninstalled Satori PhotoXL v2.29 you are unable to use Windows Explorer, Windows Internet Explorer or other applications.

FAULT
Having uninstalled Satori PhotoXL v2.29 you are unable to use Windows Explorer, Windows Internet Explorer or other applications.

This is caused by selecting "YES" to de-installing shared dll's (URLMON.DLL) when completing the de-installation of the Satori PhotoXL 2.29 software.
SOLUTION
You need to update your registry with the correct path for the system URLMON.DLL. This is achieved using the instructions below.

You should follow these instructions carefully.

For Windows NT

  1. Start\run and type regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\urlmon.dll and hit enter key. If the command has worked then you will see a dialog with a "succeeded" message
  2. You should now find that the application that was failing now works correctly.

For Windows 95 / 98

  1. Start\run and type regsvr32 c:\windows\system\urlmon.dll and hit enter key. If the command has worked then you will see a dialog with a "succeeded" message.
  2. You should now find that the application that was failing now works correctly.
