Hint: If you want the zoom window to be larger on your desktop then drag the window and then Press Hi-Rez. Now close this view. |
From the Windows menu bar
select open and load <redeye.rir>. This image will now be loaded and becomes the
first layer of your canvas. In some of these steps you will need to use the zoom tool. Select the zoom magnifying glass icon in the shortcut toolbar. The cursor will change to indicate that this tool has been selected. Click down, drag and click again to define the zoom area. A new view will now have been created and the zoom manager menu will have automatically appear on your desktop. Press the Hi-Rez button and wait a short time while your zoom view is updated with more detail. If you are working in one view then all views will be updated simultaneously. In this way you can work in fine detail in a zoom view and see the results in the original full screen at the same time. In most other programs there is only one view. We will be using the freehand and connected line tools to apply the filter and enhance effects. As with all objects in Satori, these can be re-edited at any time. To quickly remove the last object use the undo control Ctrl+Z. Bezier spline and paths offer better controls for applying these effects using curves and are included in the V2.0 upgrade. Satori is a drawing program and works best with a pressure sensitive pointing device, such as a pen and tablet, instead of a mouse. If you don't have a pressure sensitive pointing device then pressure can be selected by using the ten keyboard number keys where 1 selects 10% pressure, 2 selects 20% pressure, and so on up to 9 which selects 90% pressure and 0 which selects 100% pressure. |
