"Before - picking the colors to be removed."
"During - the settings for the Mask Range and Falloff." Owing to Satoris infinite undo/redo I could play with the colors and settings for the Chroma Key until I arrived at the perfect values but, being lazy, Ill just click PAINT, AIRBRUSH, MASK and brush away any parts of the image not properly masked with a pressure sensitive pen/tablet. (NOTE: If using Satori version 2.2 and beyond then you can just up-end the pen and use the eraser!) |
"After - finally, perfectly keyed flames." Once Ive properly masked the background I can proceed to CROP the canvas and save out a bitmap (in 32 bits per pixel) which I can use to composite over a background. From the CANVAS ACTIONS PALETTE, CROP REGION options select DEFINE CROP and draw a bounding box in the image window to define the crop area. I will render the crop region as an RIR file using the SAVE BITMAP AS... dialog and I will call it FLAMES. RIR
